Safety & Professional Advice

At Puppy Lane, the safety and comfort of your pup is our top priority. By purchasing and using our products, you agree to the following terms and guidelines:

  • Intended Use: Our products are designed for domesticated dogs only. They are fashion accessories and are not intended for use with aggressive dogs or those with severe behavioral issues.
  • Professional Guidance: We recommend seeking advice from a qualified vet or trainer before choosing accessories, especially for dogs with existing medical conditions (such as neck or spinal issues).
  • Not Toys: Our products contain small hardware elements and are not toys. To prevent choking hazards, keep accessories out of reach of children and animals when not in use.
  • No-Pull Advice: Collars should not be used on dogs that pull excessively or those with weak tracheas. We suggest professional advice for selecting harnesses or head-collars for these specific needs.

Fit, Suitability & Care

  • Owner Responsibility: It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure a secure, comfortable fit. As every dog is unique, we cannot guarantee one size will fit all.
  • Supervision: Dogs must be supervised at all times while wearing our accessories. Do not leave a dog unattended or crated while wearing a collar or harness.
  • Product Integrity: To maintain the strength of the materials, accessories should not be worn while sleeping or swimming.
  • Washing Instructions: To preserve the life of your items, we recommend hand washing. If machine washing, use a delicate cycle and do not exceed 30°C. Please note that colors may fade naturally over time with regular use.

Special Care: 'The Denim One' Collection

Due to the authentic dye used in our denim collection, color transfer (bleeding) may occur onto lighter-colored fur or fabrics. We strongly recommend washing these items before their first use to minimise this.

Wear, Tear & Durability

No dog accessory is indestructible.

  • Check: Always check for signs of wear and tear before every use. Never use a broken or faulty product.
  • Usage Limits: Scratching, biting, or excessive pulling will significantly reduce the lifespan of the product. We do not offer refunds or replacements for items damaged by the dog or through misuse.
  • Breed Suitability: Our products are designed for light use and may not be suitable for exceptionally large or powerful breeds.

Faulty Items & Reporting

We quality-check every item, but please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.

  • Reporting a Fault: In the rare event of a manufacturing fault within the first 28 days, contact us at support@puppylaneuk.co.uk with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos.
  • Transit Damage: Any items damaged during delivery must be reported within 48 hours of receipt to qualify for a replacement.

Variations & Disclaimer

  • Handcrafted Nature: Due to the handmade nature of our products, pattern placement will vary. Colors may also appear slightly different in person compared to digital screens.
  • Legal Disclaimer: Puppy Lane accepts no legal responsibility for the use or misuse of our products. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/owner to ensure the product is safe and appropriate for their specific dog. We reserve the right to update our policies at any time.
